The three subsequent albums -- Red 2012 1989, Red 2012 along with Reputation 2017 -- Swift's popularity only increased. It was a clear indication that she was in an entirely new world of pop which she was able to fit into. As she cut her style by releasing stripped-down albums like 2020, folklore, and Evermore, she still remained in the top spot. The position was defended through re-recordings of her previous catalog, as in Midnights the synth-based chart-topper 2022 album.
